Knowledge Commercialisation Australasia is the peak body representing organisations and individuals associated with knowledge transfer from the public sector.

KCA shares and enhances world’s best practice in knowledge commercialisation. Its’ members thereby increase wealth generation and enhance the Innovation System.

Our members include universities, government research organisations and departments, medical research institutes, rural research and development corporations and TAFEs.  Members from CRCs and industry are also welcome.

KCA has established strategic alliances with national and international organisations such as the Australian Institute for Commercialisation, InnovationXchange Australia, Association of University Technology Managers and UNICO to strengthen membership benefits.

KCA is a strong advocate for Federal and State Government funding support for University commercialisation activities in the following areas:

• Concept development funding
• IP protection costs
• IP and commercialisation training for public sector staff
• University to business exchange schemes (students, staff and technology)
• Development of strong alumni networks
• Support for research/business precincts and accelerators
• Purchase of local technology products and services
